Okay looking at this, this is very strange. Your io9 seems to give rather different data than most other io9s we have seen. the manufacturer_data matches the 6/7 identically. I'm not really sure what to do, I could theoretically make it label as 6/7/9, but that seems a bit excessive.
I'm going to put this one on hold for a bit while I think about it.
I just bought an oral b io 9s and it’s detected as 6/7 on home assistant.
Same. +1
I've got the same issue. My black iO 9 is detected as an 8/9 and reports and nine entities. My wife's newer white iO9 is detected as a 6/7. It reports eight entities (no battery status; the one thing I really want).
+1 on this. IO 9N is detected as 6/7 with 4 zones, but mine has 6.
The model doesn’t really matter as long as the IO series is reported as they are all the same
if you don’t have battery it’s because you are out of range or the proxy you are using doesn’t support active connections.
My io9 black I just got shows as 6/7 and has nine entities including battery. 4 sectors but I’m not sure how this relates to the 12 zones it is supposed to have.
Mine black IO 9 shows as 6/7 and 0 sectors

Same issue with iO Series 10.
