The problem

The integration for the goodwe inverter works really good but one parameter is not updated at all. Goodwe Today Energy (import) is not available but very important for me. image

Hey there @mletenay, @starkillerog, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (goodwe) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks! (message by CodeOwnersMention)

The "Today Energy (import)" as most of other sensors is taken from the inverter as is, i.e. there is no error in HA and most likely your specific inverter model does not provide its value. However, looking at the screenshot closely, it seems it is not 0 but something like 0.1. Which suggests, the meaning of "Today Energy (import)" is not what you think. AFAIK the meaning of this "import" sensor is the amount of energy imported from grid and stored in battery (usually 0 in General Mode, non-zero in Eco modes). I.e. not imported and consumed in front of the inverter, but imported and stored after it.

The energy imported/expoted from the grid is "Active Power" and if you need its daily summary values, you have to use "integration" + "utility_meter" integrations to sum those.

In other words, I do not thing this is a HA bug.

@arturschuetz1979 you can confirm this (outside HA) using https://github.com/marcelblijleven/goodwe and running the first sample program from the README (updating your IP address). This will read all the sensors off the inverter, like:
