Battery draining tapo c410

The problem

Once a tapo c410 is connected through this integration the battery is draining very fast. 90% in one night. Once the camera is disconnected from the integration the battery comes back to the normal

I also have this issue with the same camera. Will be disconnecting them for now as the drain is too high.

Hello, I have the same problem with a C425.

Same issue. Drains completely and stops charging.

Can confirm this issue also affects C460 camera.

Have the same issus with C425 (w Solar Panel) and D235 Doorbell.

Neither make it through 1 day when enabled in HA.

The integration isn't even using any camera feeds or snapshots of the cameras. The only entities:

  • Motion Detection On/Off
  • Person Detection On/Off
  • LED On/Off
  • Battery status
  • Camera On/Off (but not actual view or image of the camera)

Ive disabled both devices in HA and the battery drain has stopped

I had this same problem before, but since using this integration via HACS, I no longer encounter any problems.

There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently.
