Light turns on again by itself
The problem
An automation switches on a light for me at sunset, which is integrated via Hue. The light should be turned off at 11 p.m. Since a radio signal can sometimes be lost, I created a loop that tries to turn off the light until it is off. This also works, but as you can see in the picture, the light suddenly turns on again after about 1 minute. But through what?

same issue
In my case the lamps are not switched by a home assistant script.
The sunset timing is controlled by the hue bridge.
After I have integrated the Hue bridge into HomeAssistant, the lamp sometimes switched on again a minute later (about once a week)
I have been seeing this recently as well - the hue light will come on by itself, possibly as a result from a disconnect from the bridge although it's 2m away? It consistently seems to be the same light in a group of 4 and it's the slowest one to connect when you power the bridge up.
I have some automations for controlling lights (via HUE integration) depending on corresponding motion sensors.
When a light is switched via such an automation, a helper should also be set to a corresponding state at the same time so that the system knows that the light has been switched on by motion control and can also be switched off again automatically.
As sometimes (usually a few times a day) the light switches on again “automatically” (as described in this issue), the helper is not set accordingly and the light remains on longer than desired as a result.
I have been trying to track down this behavior for some time now. And I have already tried several iterations of workarounds. Unfortunately, I have not yet found a way to improve the behavior, or even correct it.
I have the same issue. The lamp is not even part of any automation but still turns on randomly.
There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. Due to the high number of incoming GitHub notifications, we have to clean some of the old issues, as many of them have already been resolved with the latest updates. Please make sure to update to the latest Home Assistant version and check if that solves the issue. Let us know if that works for you by adding a comment 👍 This issue has now been marked as stale and will be closed if no further activity occurs. Thank you for your contributions.
