Lutron Homeworks fans show as lights in home assistant

The problem

Lutron homeworks supports fans (and many other things) and not just lights. In my lutron designer version 15.13.6 these show up as load type "Motor switched" . However these devices show up as lights in home assistant, and this makes using it in automations that expect a switch or fan type difficult.
