TP-Link Integration Not Recognizing Authentication on New Switch Install

Open rdperkins opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

The problem

For months, I've had problems with TP-Link devices, half or more of my 35+ devices cycling through a Failed Setup. Finally I deleted the integration and reinstalled in HA. The first pass only found and added 5 devices, then over the next few days found and added 4 additional ones. I even tried powering down the entire house to see if that would help, but no. I tried adding a new device to the integration, both by auto-discovery and by entering the host IP. The same device was found but the authentication failed. I'm using the same username and pw I setup last week for my Kasa app, and BTW, the devices show up and operate both in the Kasa app and in Alexa.
