Tuya energy metering stopped working

Open greenamit opened this issue 1 year ago • 9 comments

The problem

I’m using the spm02-d2tw WIFI energy meter, based on Tuya via HA integration and Tuya IoT platfrom. Everything worked fine for months and since 2/9 it hasn’t pass the Total Energy count (kWh) to HA anymore. Only real-time voltage, current, and power values.

I tried to delete and add the device again and it doesn’t show the total energy. I tried to explore it with local-tuya and was able to see those variables.

+1!

I have the exact same issue, but started on Sept 4th.. Might be related to some Home Assistant (Core) update itself (?)

Same problem here

Restarting the addon works here after i have restarted Home-Assistant. If i don't do that it doesn't work here either and i had this issue before 2024.9 so it's not that.

you mean 'reload' the tuya integration? I tried to reload it (Home Assistant was restarted) but nothing changes. Do you need to remove/add the meter after that?

Maybe your issue is something else than my issue. I mean just reload the integration and then it works until next restart of Home-Assistant.

Same problem here with SPM01

Have you tried my suggestion above? Plugin doesn't load as it should on Home-Assistant startup so you need to reload it manually.

Leatherface75 avatar Sep 30 '24 18:09 Leatherface75

Yes, i reloaded the tuya Integration but the total energy still unavailable

me too. Didn't solve the problem. Who should fix it, Tuya or HA?

No fix yet? Is there a workaround to get Total Energy count (kWh)?
