When using preset, Z-wave thermostat Z-TRM6 reporting heat when idle

Open Wiigian opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

The problem

When using preset "Energy heat" on thermostat Z-TRM6, the thermostat reports that it is actively heating during idle periods. I have attached some screenshots to elaborate. Around 08:00 the thermostat was switched from "No preset" to "energy heat". The temperature is dropping, and no current is being drawn. At the same time, the thermostat is reporting that it is actively heating.

I have found that when switching between presets, you need to refresh the values of your zwave device to get updated setpoints.

Please set the integration log level to debug, change the preset mode, and then share the logs here. That will help us determine whether there's an issue in the integration, the Z-Wave JS server, or something else

I saw the thermostat was reporting "heating" today again, while actually idle. I then tried to change the preset mode with debug enabled as @raman325 requested, but when I do this, the operating mode is corrected. So it is not easy to capture logs from this intermittent failure

Can you leave debug mode on and wait for it to happen again? If after some time you can't reproduce let me know, that itself may be a clue, although I'm not sure what clue it is as of yet
