Plex on Synology DSM 7: latest version not shown in HA

Open XalaTheShepard opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

The problem

Dear all,

I wanted to created an automatisation that alerts me when a new version of Plex Media Server is available for my Synology DSM 7 NAS. Unfortunately the update.plex_media_server sensor does not show the latest version available. Since I have discovered this sensor not long ago, I am not aware if it has ever worked. It only shows the following information:

auto_update: false installed_version: 1.32.8.7639-fb6452ebf in_progress: false latest_version: null release_summary: null release_url: null skipped_version: null title: null entity_picture: https://brands.home-assistant.io/_/plex/icon.png friendly_name: Plex Media Server (robin) supported_features: 16

I have noticed that this is a regular issue for all DSM 7 Plex users in HA.

Many thanks for having a look at this issue.

Kind regards,

Robin
