May be we should check if the dir is an the allowlist_external_dirs. See https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/configuration/basic/ . If the service would be called by a user, should not be allowed to access privileged dirs.

The dir doesn't have to be on the same host as HA. You could run transmission on an external server which has a complete different file system.
