Issue with Overkiz integration showing 50% as position when fully opened

Open macfr76 opened this issue 2 years ago • 9 comments

The problem

I have an issue with Overkiz integration, using local API (no idea with cloud API, I have never used it).

My gate (an on rail sliding gate) is seen as 50% opened when fully opened. At the same time, it’s seen fully opened in Homebridge with TaHoma plugin.

Your screenshot doesn't work, can you re-upload this?

Can you please add your diagnostics?

  1. If your device already shows up in Home Assistant, go to your integrations page and select Overkiz, your hub and the device. Press the 3 dots and select "Download diagnostics. Otherwise, go to your integrations page and select Overkiz. Next to your hub, click the 3 dots and select "Download diagnostics".

  2. Attach your diagnostics (JSON file) to this issue by uploading the file in a new comment (drag and drop supported).

Hi, I guess it's an elixo motor ?

That's how it work, you Will always have open a 50 %.

That's because the status is not send to the box and the box dont ask for states until you open the app. So the state is unknown.

And when state is other than closed, it's open.

Nothing we can do for the moment.

@fetzerch work's on the issues but didn't finalized yet it's pull request.

Hope that help you Thomas

Hi,

Yes it is an elixo motor.

Previously (before local API integration directly in HA), I was using Local API through Homebridge plugin then connected to HA, and i was not having this "50%" issue So they are probably handling this differently.

I'm away from home, i will try to provide requested informations next week.

I'd like to add to this that I've got a similar problem with my rolling shutters. Somfy IO RS100 motors reporting as -6% in HA and in Homekit or Tahoma as 50%. Need to open and close 2-4 times for them to be either at the correct position and to be able to set an inbetween position.

As shared earlier, please add your diagnostics at the moment you face this issue. If you can add a screenshot of the state in HA + your TaHoma app at the same time, this might help debug this issue.

Hope this is the diagnostics you are looking for, I did a download diagnostics from the Overkiz integration. In the screenshots all shutters are actually in the 100% open state.

If you need me to do some more steps for debugging please let me know. config_entry-overkiz-1bd814d1f8b4945d374712e30434c718.json 20240218_103812000_iOS 20240218_103817000_iOS HA_Overkiz_01

Slight bump to this issue. I've disabled the Overkiz integration in HA and now all the shutters report their position correctly in the Tahoma app. So it does seem to be an Overkiz related issue.

Hi,

I have the same problem as macfr76 with my Elixo IO. My gate is seen as 50% opened when fully opened. And I never receive the event "opening"
