Error on using internal CA certificate

Open AdamantUnstable opened this issue 5 months ago • 0 comments

I'm in the process of migrating/reinstalling HAOS on a new setup and decided to take the opportunity to finally get TLS working, but I've hit a wall. I'm using a self created CA certificate which I've used for a number of internal services, I've managed to install the certs into HA and can connect via the web page without issue. When trying to connect in the Android companion app however I just get "The Home Assistant certificate authority is not trusted". The only troubleshooting information I can find says it should just work if the CA certificate is installed in the device, but I've already done that and it still flags as untrusted. I can verify that the certificate is installed and working because it works when accessing the web page through Chrome, and when accessing other services using the same cert.

I'm running Android 14, app version 2024.7.3-full

Does anyone have any advice for fixing this?
