I had the same issue. It seems this issue is fixed in the release 2025.9.2-full see here . If you haven’t received the update yet, just download the relevant package and install it. It worked for me.

I experience the same:

• HA 2025.10.4
• Companion App 2025.8.7-full on a Pixel 9 with Android 16 switched to dark theme

Also a white flash occurs when switching the first time to Music Assistant.

Compared to the iOS Companion App the Android Version app-start is pretty bumpy and slow. It doesn't make a difference if accessing HA just locally or remote.
