Does not run in background on iPadOS 26
Despite the promises about background processes which should continue on iPadOS 26, this app does not run in background. I started to download a large video (1GB) using yt-dlp. But when I switch a-shell to the background or turn off the screen, it stalls. When I switch back a-shell to the foreground it resumes. Is this a bug or just a still existing limitation of iPadOS ? I installed the latest version of a-shell (2025 Aug 25).
It's a limitation of iPadOS. In order to have a task run in the background, developers must change the way the task is launched; I need to study extensively how to make this compatible with how a-Shell launches tasks. It's going to be complicated, and thus not immediate.
