Nano editor proposal

Hi, congratulations for your App, that’s incredible. Please consider introduce nano as other possible editor for your app. Could be very interesting. Kind regards.

Hi, thanks for the kind words. Adding a new editor is on the TODO list, but it won't be nano, as it is covered by the GPL and the FSF position is that the GPL is incompatible with the appStore.

I stumbled on this too since I can’t use vim. I too hope there is a way to install nano at some point.

The latest version has pico, which is a small editor like nano but not nano.

Okay thanks. I actually tried it right before posting here and got something like 'pico: command not found'. But it is working now.

Sorry to piggyback on this issue, but is it possible to create an alias nano="pico" somewhere? I can't find a way to do it. I also tried creating a symlink and it didn't work. The program basically looks the same and works the same as nano, but old muscle memory just makes it that much easier to call for nano, even if it launches pico. 😁

You can place this line in the .profile or .bashrc file in the ~/Documents/ directory.

It works! Awesome. Thank you so much.
