Provide an internal mechanism to inform the user about updates, even thought the store provides automatic updates:

  • macOS: Sparkle
  • iOS: AppStore => Toast
  • Android: PWA => Toast (offer reload)
  • Web: PWA => Toast (offer reload)
  • Windows, Linux: Electron => Toast (link to download) // Build in updater
