I'm not really sure what you mean but if you mean that the image is stretched across the 16:9 monitor rather than being displayed as 4:3 then check the scaling setting in the main menu. (Should be set to Auto or Integer scaling) One other possibility is that the HDMI cable is not connecting the EDID signal wires properly and that can result in the output always being 640x480 instead of 1920x1080 which would cause such a stretched screen. The screen will display the resolution as 640x480 on powerup instead of 1920x1080 if that has happened.
