Request to Add Shortcut for "Close When Unfocused" Toggle - A Practical idea.
Hello and respect to the developers,
I am a user of the very useful and feature-rich CopyQ software, and I truly appreciate your efforts. I have encountered a usability issue related to the interaction between the "Always on Top" and "Close When Unfocused" options in the settings.
Currently, when "Close When Unfocused" is enabled, the CopyQ window closes immediately when it loses focus. This behavior renders the "Always on Top" option practically ineffective, as the window disappears before it can stay on top of others.
There are times when I need the CopyQ window to remain fixed and visible, without auto-hiding, so that I can paste multiple clipboard items into another application easily and efficiently — without having to reopen CopyQ each time.
To improve this user experience, I kindly suggest the following feature:
Please allow users to assign a shortcut key to quickly toggle the "Close When Unfocused" setting on and off.
This would allow users to instantly switch between focus-sensitive and persistent window behavior, without having to dive into the settings each time.
💡 Practical idea: Please consider adding an option to assign a keyboard shortcut that can toggle the "Close When Unfocused" setting on and off, just like a quick switch. Even better, it could show a brief on-screen indicator (like a small message or icon) when the toggle is triggered — so that users know whether auto-hide is active or not.
This small feature would make CopyQ much more flexible in multi-tasking scenarios and help users better control the window behavior on demand.
Thank you again for your valuable work on this great tool.
