Difficulty Creating CopyQ Settings Backup on macOS

Open andrewcincotta opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

I am trying to create a backup of my copyQ settings (not clipboard contents, but things like theme and commands). I was able to do this in the past, but am not sure how I got it done. Below are the file contents of a copyQ backup:

copyq-commands.ini
copyq-commands.ini.bak
copyq-filter.ini
copyq.lock
copyq_cmds.dat
copyq_geometry.ini
copyq_tab_Jk1hYw==.dat
copyq_tab_JkltYWdlcw==.dat
copyq_tab_JlJ5emVu.dat
copyq_tab_JlJhemVy.dat
copyq_tab_JlNhdmVk.dat
copyq_tabs.ini
themes

You can export the configuration + commands from menu bar: File - Export...

To do that manually, you can back up just the *.ini files, mainly copyq-commands.ini and copyq.ini - but I think on macOS this config file is at:

/Users/runner/Library/Preferences/com.copyq.copyq.plist
