Aliase for elements
This is a suggestion. Would it be possible to introduce aliases? This would make it possible to store longer text passages or formulas or the like in a file under a unique name. Nevertheless, the filing system would remain clear. Perhaps this could be included in a future version? My idea would be to create a new element. But the whole content of the element does not appear in the list, only its name. However, I can enter (arbitrarily) long text or pictures or whatever behind it. I think this would be a great feature.
Perhaps you mean something like the Hide/Show Item Content command in combination with custom note (Shift+F2 to edit/create item note)? (Here is how to add the command to CopyQ.)
I'm sorry, I can't do anything with the answer to my suggestion for a new feature. The command "hide/show object content" does exactly that. However, it does not allow a simple alias elem to also store complex things. The command "Shift+F2 to edit/create an object note" does not work for me.
Yours sincerely, Hartmut

"Edit Notes" should be in the menu bar in Item submenu and also in the context menu if you click with right mouse button on an item.
