I tried to use stretch-slim today and ran in to a bug in openjdk-8-jre-headless. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=863199

I see there is another I2P docker image basing on Apline, and it is using Oracle JRE.

Last I checked, I2P required some C libraries from the wrapper script. I saw an error and gave up quickly after.

Do you have a link to the other one? Are you sure it's Java I2P and not i2pd/kovri?
