Possible Multi-cursor editing issues

Is anyone else having trouble with this? I guess it could be my desktop environment:

I could do "box selection" but not "add a cursor", for instance.

If you mean the mouse click to add multi cursors, the correct shortcut is Alt Left-click in Linux. In order to add cursors with the keyboard the shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down_ArrowKeys Also, unfortunately this project has been abandoned. Checkout https://github.com/SebastianZaha/vscode-emacs-friendly It's a fork of this in active development and with many improvements. It's available from vscode as 'vscode-emacs-friendly'
