You have to build, and then [install it](https://github.com/webcamoid/akvirtualcamera/wiki/Build-and-install#mac-2), otherwise it won't never work.

Right now no. but things like screen cropping, zooming, mouse hide/show are planned for 9.x series. Features like screen cast and picture in picture are planned for 10.x series.

Does it detect the cameras?

Then it started properly, if you have not any camera installed, it will capture the screen as expected.
