GNOME startup causes weird GUI behavior

Linux GNOME Festival v1.0.0

Bug

A Festival that was launched via GNOME's startup applications causes some weird behavior to occur in the GUI.

Buttons stop working, sizing is weird, etc.

Closing and re-opening fixes it, but this shouldn't be happening.

macOS + Windows startup seems to work fine.
