Still didn't find the updated map of India with Ladkah

@KacperMadej, the union territory of ladakh is still not added to the Indian map configuration. According to the order released by government of India, it is official. So when are you guys planning to do so ?

The issue is open and the problem is not resolved, so we are planning to close the issue by resolving the problem. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide any ETA for the fix at this moment, but fixing this problem is on top of the list for the map collection maintenance and update plan.

As far as I know, the map data and svg codes are available. Though you also check once.

Hi @KacperMadej I am looking for the latest map of India that has both Telengana & Ladakh in it. I also tried map from https://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/ https://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/countries/in/custom/in-all-disputed.svg which unfortunately has duplicate hc-a2 value.

Here is the map with changed hc-a2 codes - those could be changed manually in the map in you need any further changes: https://jsfiddle.net/BlackLabel/jaL7q5x3/2/ (changes done based on the codes from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/States_and_union_territories_of_India#States_and_Union_territories)

Thanks @KacperMadej, this map looks perfect but how can I use this in R ? When I try to access this within R using "http://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/countries/in/custom/in-all-disputed" then I get the old map without ladakh.

Or do you mean I should manually change hc-a2 in my code referring the link you have provided above ?

The edited map is provided in the demo's HTML tab. If you cannot insert JS code into R directly then you should be able to set up a local file with the edited map from the demo and load that into R instead of the map from the CDN.

@KacperMadej The map shared by you above is also not correct and contains invalid/duplicate "hc-a2" codes.
