Option to specify zoom level?

Would it be possible to add an (advanced) option to choose a specific zoom level for rendering? That way one could create high-detail maps of larger areas. If that's possible it would be amazing :D

I also need this! I want a detailed map of my neighborhood, that will have building numbers and entrances.

I'd like to also have the option to choose a certain zoom level, like 1:50.000 (or an adequate scale in meters per pixel). Would this be possible?
