Hardware: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) smcFanControl 2.6.1 on macOS 10.14 show -1C and can NOT control the fan.

Similar problem:

@erychagov @rhkaneko I guess this is the SIP problem. I turned off SIP once and turned back on(with smcFanControl launched between twice reboot), after that smcFanControl work normally. Here is the way to turn off the SIP and turn it back on.

@chinanoahli I tried your technique on a fresh mojave 10.14.2 install on a late 2012 macbook pro 15-inch. It didn't work unfortunately. I still cannot control fan speeds. Will wait patiently for an update or workaround :-)
