[Feature Request] "Autoapply favorite when temperature changes" setting.

Hello @hholtmann and team! First: thank you. smcFanControl is great. As a tinkerer, I love being able to see my macbook's RPM and temperature.

I recently found and love the "Autoapply favorite when powersource changes" setting.

It would be great to see a similar setting which hinges on the device's temperature sensor. For instance as we get into summer, I would like to have my fan run more aggressively. I mocked up what I mean in the attached image.

If you understand and like the proposed idea, I would love to see your beautiful evolution of it.

I too would like a more aggressive cooling approach, but I'd like it to scale depending on temperature.

Would it not make more sense to define a temperature range minT - maxT, and automatically set the minimum fan speed depending on the current temperature? At minT, the fan speed is at the minimum setting, and at maxT, the fan speed is at 100%.

Such a feature is possible, but I am not really sure if it really makes sense. To be this feature really useful on modern Macs you have to read out more than one temperature sensor (most machines have more than 10) for this to be really efficient and then apply presets according to the combined readout. That is basically what the build in SMC already does. So I would describe the requested feature as lowering the threshold for the automatic fan control algorithm.

I mean, I'm all for that. have to set the fans on full blast manually when it reaches 50˚C because the keyboard gets really uncomfortable then.

Maybe better to implement it like Try to keep my MacBook temperature not higher than [this] when using [that] powersource?

@Leksat I think this is a good idea.
