I think, both should be mandatory:

  • The overview doesn't look good if there are some documentations without a cover image. It might just be a problem to make that field mandatory because that would force users to immediatly create a cover image...
  • Without description the start page of the documentation doesn't look good. Alternatively we could adjust the layout of the first page of a documentation.

I think YES. It looks much nicer than embeded YouTube or Vimeo videos but we should probably tell the students not to use that for large video files.
