Oh, indeed you're right. It looks like those tests are all manual tests. We should probably convert them to reftests at some point, but it makes sense they're not run.

Remove SPI call to _purgeDevice which is no longer needed

Looks like `scheduleFreeRenderingResources` and `freeRenderingResources`, and the .mm file they're in, can be deleted entirely.
