Odd behavior?
Hi, Sorry if my question is dump, but I seems to misunderstand something here..
Everything is blocked by default.. If I create a rule to allow some app, it will be still blocked, till I put a check mark on this app in "Apps" tab… Is this intentionally done or a bug?
Because if I will change my rule to "block" (that rule includes many apps) all of them will still has an access, untill I uncheck all of those apps in "Apps" window.
So if individual entries in "aps" tab (that simple wall creates automatically) , has a higher priorities than my rules, what is the point from my rules then?
Thanks.
What are you creating individual rules for?
For ease of use just "enable packet notifications" and allow the apps based on your needs.
If you have set custom rules, the app is displayed under "Apps with user rules". It shouldn't create a second entry.

Maybe I was not clear enough.
I want rules to enable/disable internet access for multiple executables at once, depending on my current usage case.
Enabling network access via the rules is not enough/broken, I still need to tick the check box for every single app in "Apps" tab also, to give them access, same thing to block them: blocking access via rules dose network, I need to uncheck every single app in apps tab.
Also, it dose not create second entry in "apps" tab, I was wondering why I still need to check it check box there, if it is already in one of the rules?

So you can have multiple rules per app, while still having the option to quickly outright block the app.
I requested app groups before, but Henry rejected it. You can enable multiple at once by click, [shift], click(highlights all entries within the two points), right click, enable
To be fair enabling/disabling is pretty redundant, as whatever the app was logging etc will still be transmitted when you enabled it again.... There's already timed rules, if you just don't want things open for more than certain times...
Aha, thx for the info, but then what is the purpose of rules in this case? For fine configuration of ports and protocols only?
I know shift/cntr selection, this will not help if you have lots of app "groups" that you will need also to memorize their names also in this case...
Ya it's just for assigning ports
