Support for another Ungoogled
Can you add in chrlauncher.ini support to another Ungoogled url?!
I mean - except for these lines:
# ungoogled-chromium
# Unofficial builds without Google integration and enhanced privacy (based on Eloston project)
# "github.com/macchrome/winchrome/releases/" (32/64 bit)" (32/64 bit)
# "github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium"
Also add this line "https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases"
Currently on marmaduk the version is: Chromium v.104.0.5112.74.
And here https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases the version is: Chromium v.104.0.5112.81
I manually added in chrlauncher.ini -> "https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases" but always the app only updates to the version in the marmaduk repository.
# ungoogled-chromium
# Unofficial builds without Google integration and enhanced privacy (based on Eloston project)
# "github.com/macchrome/winchrome/releases/" (32/64 bit)" (32/64 bit)
# "github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases/" (32/64 bit)
# "github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium"
Can you add in chrlauncher.ini support to https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases ?!
@henrypp, I waited patiently for more than three months. Won't you finally take a stand on the subject and speak out?!
perhaps there are reasons for this, idk, just guessing: https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium/issues (114 open) (Chromium v108) https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/issues (43 open) (Chromium v108) https://github.com/macchrome/winchrome/issues (0 open) (Chromium v109)
It's been 8 months since I created this theme to have the Chrlauncher tool equipped with a wonderful address like: https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases
Time to add support to the address I provided in the first post in this thread.
@henrypp ?!
I guess, the answer is "not possible"
Hello – developer and user. The introduction of update support for programs derived from Chromium is definitely very desirable. As noted by the README.md file, this support only applies to Chromium – How lucky! – which is served only by the developer channel. The notable absence of support for a browser derived and served by the stable channel is very regrettable. In this context, I am here proposing said support for Cromite, an unofficial build without Google integration, whose project is also hosted on this platform.
