4 1920x1080 VODs full screen get stacked in a column instead of a 2x2 grid

When I'm watching 4 1920x1080 VODs and change my browser to full screen with the two toolbars (top and bottom) minimised, for some reason it decides to stack the 4 videos in a column with a scroll bar so that I can only see two at a time.

Browser is Brave Version 1.64.113 Chromium: 123.0.6312.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)
