universal pipez can suck energy out of Industrial Foregoing machines

Open jlp1528 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Bug description As the title says, somehow it's possible for universal pipes to remove energy from machines that can normally only accept energy. I have not tested this with other mods or specifically energy pipez.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Place a universal pipe on an IF machine and set it to extract.
  2. Power the machine.
  3. Observe energy removed.

Expected behavior Energy should not be removable from machines that only accept energy. Workaround: turn off energy extraction via the tab in the UI.

Can you confirm that this also happens for normal Forge?

Updated OP with mod version. It would be a lot of work to confirm this with normal forge as I use premade mod packs rather than creating my own. Since there is a workaround, I'm just going to use that. However, if there is a mod pack that uses regular forge as the mod loader, I would be willing to try that.

It "should" only be possible to suck energy out of machines that allow energy to be sucked out. I guess thats either intended or a bug on their end. To prevent the issue, you can add an upgrade to the pipe and disable it in the energy tab.

Hmm pipes should never such energy out of anything. Forge Energy is a push system. Generators and batteries are supposed to push energy to adjacent blocks that accept energy. Like pipes. Never pull please! That breaks things
