I think an exception is raised because of which the Download button is enabled back immediately as if the downloading had completed. Is there some setting which is set by previous versions and referenced by in the new version. This when done on a freshly installed machine fails

@tusharbhardwaj1989, you do not need .net version 4.7. GBC will run with version 4.6 (minimum) and 4.6 is supported on Windows 7 - https://github.com/hemenkapadia/getbhavcopy/releases/tag/3.0.0a

Support for Windows 7 users was the main decision to not to move to 4.7

I've tested this on two different VMs. Both machines are Windows 10 x64 Edition with .net framework version 4.7.2.

As per the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full

.NET Framework 4.7.2 installed on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and earlier OS versions | 461814

The strange part is that the results are different on both machines even when things are similar.

VM-1 is an old VM on which I'd earlier versions of Getbhavcopy working. I upgrade the version by downloading the latest one and without changing the options I use it. Everything works fine on this VM.

Whereas VM-2 is a fresh installation. There is an exception when download BSE data.

Are there any chances that stale configuration options are playing a role which results in latest versions working fine on VM-1 ?
