Feature request: Create cloned cards with swapped questions and answers

Open borderite opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

I routinely do:

  1. Create a db containing questions and answers.
  2. Study with the db for a while and make corrections to it when necessary (actually, almost always necessary).
  3. Clone the db, swap questions and answers in all cards, erase the learning data, and make necessary changes in the settings.
  4. Study with the swapped db.

I am wondering if it isn't possible to automate step 3, i.e, creation of a swapped db with a empty learning data and the settings reflecting the swap in one operation.

Thanks!

You can actually swap the question / answer of all cards in AnyMemo. First clone your db file (In second tab, long click db file and select "Clone") so you won't mess up with your original db file. And then go to "Preview/edit" for the cloned db. Click on menu and select "Advanced..." Select "Swap the Q/A of all cards" Select "Swap" if you just want to swap Q/A of all cards If you want to also wipe all the learning progress for the cloned db, you can go to "Advanced ..." and select "Wipe all learning progress".

Let me know if it works.

Thanks for your reply. I actually have been using the "batch" swap and "batch" learning database facilities. Because I create a new db and it's swapped version every other day or so, I thought that it would be nice to have a way to do the whole process by a single button.
