Please verify whether desktop2app is running in the background.

  • What happens if you run manually: desktop2app /usr/local/share/applications/<applicationname>.desktop /Applications?
  • Possibly it is not watching /usr/local/share/applications/ properly. To be investigated.

After entering desktop2app, it will be displayed.

desktop2app /usr/local/share/applications/.desktop /Applications

no such file or directory

no such file or directory

You need to replace <applicationname> of course so that you have a valid path to an existing desktop file.

By the way, you have installed octopkg on Hello, then you can check if your menu is on it normally.
