Use KWin ColorCorrect for circadian lighting?

Open probonopd opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

So far we have been using redshift for this purpose. It "just works" with minimal fuss.

But it seems now that we are using KWin we might use the functionality built in there instead?

Downsides:

  • Does not work when KWin does not run.
  • Might require elaborate configuration.

So maybe leave as is?

Probably leave it as is for now. I do really like the way night light on gnome works though.

Does it work better than helloSystem? If so, how?

It was successfully implemented in 0I46, and it is very comfortable. However, because of the need to draw pictures, the colors will run away because of this. I hope there is an adjustment function.
