Cropped UI on Android device with display notch

On my Moto G7 plus running Android 10, the UI side panel is cut off e.g. blacked out. If I turn the phone around, same thing happens for the other panel, so always on the side where the notch is. While other apps are active, Android's system bar with notifications, clock etc. is shown there (divided by the notch in the middle), but as soon as Helio is running, that whole area is just black so one of Helio's tool panels is always unreachable. Apart from that, everything in Helio seems to work just fine. I tested both master 3.9 and development builds from the website. I have the same issue on my LG V60. I would love to have a fix for this!
