Sensitivity of click&drag select

TuxGuitar 1.6.1, Linux (openSUSE tumbleweed), installed with distro's package manager.

Am I the only TuxGuitar user thinking the "click&drag select" feature is a bit too sensitive to mouse movements? I'm currently editing a tab, and quite often when I just want to click on one note I select the associated beat (not intentionally I mean). Selection is activated as soon as mouse moves horizontally with button active, even for a minimal distance. 2.0beta fork (from where feature was back-ported) did not have this issue as it wasn't possible to select a single beat (#39).

Before trying to implement any fix: does anyone experience the same issue? Or maybe my small touchpad is too sensitive?
