Allow Site-Admins to enable per-site configuration for

  • Authentication-Settings
  • Group-Mapping-Settings

That way Sites can set up their completely own LDAP-Settings or use the same default settings but handle their group-mappings individually. The Group mappings might also contain a search-base for groups.
