Why not just have the recomp update itself? After all, it won't break any configs or stuff. And please make a Discord server...

There are currently no plans for a Discord server to be made. I'll keep this issue open as a feature request for auto-updates.

Is .cmd or .sh files are okay for this? It's just fetching the latest release from github api and extracting archive with overwrite option.
