Plugin does not work anymore

Sorry, but simply trying to install this plugin did cost me hours of trial and error. Now since I made it to the step finally adding it to squeezeplug the installation output says "Controller OR View Files are missing in the Plugin - Install canceled". I'm giving up here, seems to buggy. Sad story since it seems to be the only plugin for google music atm.

Works for me.

The people here are awesome. Show some respect — rename your issue, and try to document what you've done, exactly, and what the responses were. Probably missed something simple, but no one will know if you don't put in some effort to communicate in a way that we can have a shared understanding of the issue.

This is a Top plugin only way I have found to do thisshit ie google music on squeezebox. There is a bit of dancing on a moving carpet as the api and connections change. I am totally up with Drew - show some respect.

is ist still the case that you need to use the different repo-url?

Hi there I too am now struggle to get it to work. I don't know of any other plugin so will persist.

I'm really sorry, not being able to respond for such a long time. I'm swamped with other things. So, if someone one to take over and continue to work on this plugin, please let me know. I'd like to give full access to this project.

Hey hechtus, thanks for an awesome plugin. very excited about trying to get this going on my pi2 with OSMC (Debian) Since OSMC is a bit customised, its been a bit of a bumpy ride! When installing dev gmusic I get a load of red after "cleaning up.." seems a perms issue to /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gpsoauth-0.0.3.egg-info/ which doesnt exist on my build. Thought its only clean up so maybe not that important; so on I rocked! cpanminus didnt seem to install as the cpanm command that followed didnt work, so I installed cpanm using this: https://www.linode.com/docs/applications/development/manage-cpan-modules-with-cpan-minus which seemed to allow me to run the last 2 inline commands. Getting all excited I try to install the plugin, but I get plugin fails to load! Tried restarting LMS, then rebooting, but still no bananas! Any help appreciated.

Hey Hechtus, I too thank you for an awesome plugin . It has been fantastic to have this working on my squeezebox in the past. We understand how things can get busy and I wish I had the know how to step in and take over. From the other issues thread it appears that others had managed to get this working with the new login password api setup. It is quite hard to keep this working I am sure with the moving target created by api changes. Will keep lingering and trying to get my system sorted.

wow got it working! had to reboot and run the 3 inline commands at the end of the guide again, then switch repos to as per https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic/issues/84 to get around the login error

Have it working again needed the proposed commits in the settings.pm file. Happy camper
