[standard] getting security updates for generated modules

I searched for info concerning these questions, but was unable to locate anything. If I missed it, I would greatly appreciate someone pointing me to it.

Problem/Motivation I have a number of content entities generated via console. I have done a lot of custom work on top of the generated code. If there is a security issue discovered with the code generated by drupal console:

1. How is the community informed?
2. Is there a way to roll those security updates into my entity modules via drupal console, or would I need to integrate the changes manually?
