roll back?

Google Chrome OS Version 73.0.3683.88 (Official Build) (32-bit) It's an Acer Chromebook R 13 CB5-312T

So I did some dumb things, maybe?

I had the chromebook.sh file downloaded, had the Crouton plugin. CTRL-ALT-T. cd ~/Download then source chromebook.sh

It ran for a while, i got through creating the Unix password, but then the process stops. The last output I see is

Installing Visual Studio Code from [stretch]...
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
  acl adwaita-icon-theme at-spi2-core colord colord-data dconf-gsettings-backend dconf-service glib-networking
  glib-networking-common glib-networking-services gsettings-desktop-schemas hicolor-icon-theme humanity-icon-theme

Then it back out to the crosh prompt (NOT the shell prompt).

I played around a bit. It looks like may be ARCHIE_ARCH is never populated? I saw this line in the output way up Architecture detected as ... (which corresponds to line 62 of the script).

ON THE OTHER HAND -- i hadn't installed the Linux (Beta) option in the options. sooo... yeah.

If I try to rerun the script now, it prompts do you want to install now, and I hit Y, and there's some output. But then it returns to the crosh prompt and all that output disappears.

Can I roll this back now? Is there something I did wrong? Should I restore to defaults and try again (brand new machine, i won't be losing anything).
