With the two shoulder buttons „L + R“ there is a small menu with the possibility to start again with a different region setting. It would be fantastic to have a possibility to hop back to the menu in order to select the next game (without pressing the Reset button on the N64 console). Would be faster, easier and „couch compliant“.
I don't think the running game can do this in general, but maybe for some devices there's a way tell the cartridge produce a reset signal, or to just reload the menu. Do you know of any other homebrew software that's able to do it?

The SAROO can do this on a Sega Saturn, but maybe that’s „console specific“ to go back with a certain button combination.
If you have the UltraHDMI mod you can reset the N64 with a button combination on the controller. But I don't think any cartridge device I know of (64drive, Everdrive, SummerCart) can do it on request from the game. It might not even be possible just from the cartridge slot. It should be possible for the game to reload and jump back into the code for the menu, but it doesn't look like anyone has implemented that support. It would probably be pretty flaky.
I agree it'd be nice, I'll leave this issue open in case this does become possible.
