Progress bar when syncing new project doesn't show progress

Version: 3.28 on Debian Stretch.

What happened

The progress bar when syncing a new remote project doesn't show progress. Nothing happens until the initial clone operation is over, at which point the buttons change colors.

What I expected to happen

Progress bar shows some kind of animation. It doesn't have to be accurate, the user just needs some kind of feedback that tells them something is happening, and the application is not just stuck.

This happens when:

1. Sync Remote Project
2. Enter Address / Remote path
3. Add
