Keyboard not opening automatically
Hello! Thanks for the library!
I faced one issue which I couldn't fix by myself - I see that you are providing a mechanism to automatically show the keyboard but it's not working for me for some reason.
Also, the search field does not receive focus once the dialog open
Can that be fixed?
I tried with android 8 and 10
Flags for app:ccpDialog_keyboardAutoPopup and app:ccpDialog_allowSearch is set to true
Hey, I haven't visited that part of code in a while so it's quite possible. Is this critically urgent for you? Or can I take a look at during weekend?

During the weekend will be OK, thanks! Hope on Monday to see what you will find (:
This is indeed an issue. I tried to solve it with WindowInsetsControllerCompat but it introduces a new problem of unable to dismiss keyboard for dialog. I'll look deeper later. Hope this is not impacting you critically.
Thanks for the update! Semi-critical let's say :)
Wish you luck to solve it!
Hello, I was just looking to update from 2.5.3 to 2.5.4 to try to fix a user report of the keyboard not opening. It seems to have worked for some but not all devices.
My Pixel 4 XL on Android 11 previously would not open the keyboard and after the upgrade opens it properly.
On the other hand, my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on Android 10 would allow the keyboard to stay open before (the activity starts with the keyboard open) but after the upgrade closes the keyboard when I open the picker, which makes things worse. If the keyboard is not already opened and I open the picker the keyboard stays closed.
I have the same issue on android 12. Keyboard is not auto-opening. When I tap to open it, something else will steal the focus so I will have to tap twice on the input number to be able to type in.
Interesting. There seems to be no issue for me with my old android phones. Perhaps double-tapping it in the input number will help like @Crysis21 said. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, but I think it's just the new update. But on the other hand, my new one also has the problem-perhaps we should all look deeper into it!
Any update on this? I'm facing the same issue.
Unfortunately, no. Can I ask what brand of phone you are using right now??
Samsung Note 9 seems to work fine for me. Is it just me with no problems with the key?

I tested it on pixel 6a and redmi note 9 pro
Great news… RIP if you tried this already though. Ok, so… Go to settings Go to apps Go to the keyboard app you are using Then click storage Then click clear cache.
HOWEVER If its not an app that you are using-and if it’s the basic phone keyboard, how about backtracking and downloading a keyboard app and using that for your basic keys? Please tell me if it worked out or not 😅😅 I hope it works… But I have a feeling it won’t 🥲😖
Aight so try this https://c.mi.com/oc/thread-3907714-1-0.html?mobile=no
