Daisy (Super Mario series) figure instead of Daisy (Villager amiibo card)

I noticed when viewing the list of villagers in the Amiibo cards for AC:NL Welcome Amiibo (not New Leaf with updates installed, to clarify) that there's no card for the normal dog Villager Daisy. Instead, it seems that it uses Daisy's Super Mario series amiibo, and to make sure it wasn't just something visual, i went to try it ingame, and it indeed is incompatible. It also uses the Super Mario series Daisy for Happy Home Designer's list.
