wumiibo randomly softlocks the system

often when switching/closing apps or opening the "mini apps" on the home menu (game notes/friends list etc) wumiibo will pop up on the bottom screen in a state where it cannot be interacted with or closed out of, the only solution is to hold the power button for 30 seconds until it shuts off. this is extremely annoying and stupid, fix it.
